A fração volátil destilada, vendida pura.

Who This Collection Serves

Ayurvedic Manufacturers, Cosmetic Formulators & Private-Label Houses

Infused oils are specified where a botanical needs to reach an oil-phase product without a concentration step: classical taila, massage and body oils, balms, salves and the oil phase of emulsions. Herbuno supplies them made to order from India, in a choice of carrier oils selected at checkout, with a per-lot CoA and SDS on every order and no minimum order quantity.

Ayurvedic & Classical Oil Manufacturers

Taila formulation is the oldest continuous use of this material, and many classical formulas name the botanical, the plant part and the base oil separately. Root, bark, leaf, seed and flower grades are listed as separate products here for exactly that reason, and the carrier is a variant rather than a fixed choice, so a formula calling for sesame and one calling for coconut are the same SKU.

Taila Classical Formula Plant Part Specific Carrier Choice

Cosmetic & Personal-Care Formulators

Balms, salves, body oils, scalp and hair oils, and the oil phase of emulsified products. A macerate goes in at a much higher inclusion rate than an extract, since it is the carrier rather than a concentrate — plan the oil phase around that. Carrier choice drives both the finished oil and the cost, jojoba and olive sitting well above the other three.

Balms & Salves Oil Phase Scalp & Hair High Inclusion

Private Label & Contract Manufacturers

Made-to-order supply with no minimum order quantity, so a pilot batch and a production run come from the same listing. Pack sizes run from 500 G for R&D through 50 Kg and above for production. Where a brief moves from trial to launch, the carrier and the botanical stay fixed and only the pack size changes.

Aromatic & Attar Producers

Maceration and enfleurage remain the classical routes for flowers that do not survive distillation well — jasmine, tuberose, champaca, kewra and frangipani are all in this range as flower macerates. These are a different material from the distilled oil of the same flower and are used as attar bases, perfume oils and solid parfum rather than as neat aromatics.

  • ✓ Certificate of Analysis (CoA) — per-lot document. States the botanical, the plant part and the carrier oil supplied, so the carrier you selected is confirmed on paper rather than assumed.
  • ✓ Safety Data Sheet (SDS) — GHS-compliant, issued as standard. Required for import customs declaration and your internal QA file.
  • ◎ Allergen Declaration — available on request. Note that the allergen position is carrier-dependent on these products, since sesame and coconut are declarable in several markets. Request at time of order.
  • ◎ Phytosanitary Certificate & Certificate of Origin — available on request for international shipments. Associated costs apply.
  • ◎ FDA Facility Registration Number — available on request for US importer compliance files. Request at time of order.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is an infused oil? +
Botanical material is steeped in a carrier oil and then filtered out. What remains is the carrier, carrying whatever the steeping transferred into it. There is no concentration step, no distillation and no solvent at any stage, which is why an infused oil carries no assay figure and no extract ratio. The material you receive is, by weight, almost entirely the carrier oil you selected.
How is it different from an oil-soluble extract? +
An oil-soluble extract is a separately produced botanical extract incorporated into an oil-compatible system, usually at a stated active loading, so it carries an assay and a defined ratio. An infused oil has neither, because nothing was concentrated. The practical consequence is inclusion rate: a macerate goes into a formulation at a far higher percentage than an extract of the same botanical. Where a label claim or a known input concentration governs the brief, the oil-soluble range is the correct one.
Can I use an infused oil in place of an essential oil? +
No, and the reverse does not hold either. An essential oil is the volatile fraction separated by distillation or expression and sold neat; it is orders of magnitude more concentrated than a macerate of the same plant and carries a quite different safety and dosing profile. They are not interchangeable at any inclusion rate. For flowers that do not distil well, however, the macerate is the classical format rather than a compromise.
Which carrier oil should I choose? +
The carrier is a variant on every product here and it changes both the finished oil and the price. Sesame is the classical base for Ayurvedic taila. Sunflower and fractionated coconut are the more neutral and lower-cost options. Jojoba is a wax ester rather than a triglyceride and behaves differently in a formulation. Olive carries its own character. Jojoba and olive sit well above the other three on cost, which is reflected in the variant pricing.
Why are leaf, root, bark and seed listed as separate products? +
Because they are separate trade items with different constituent profiles, different prices and different traditional uses. Neem bark, neem leaf and neem seed are three distinct materials, not three descriptions of one. Where more than one grade of a botanical is offered, each product page names the plant part and cross-references the others.
Is there a minimum order quantity? +
No. Pack sizes run from 500 G for R&D work, through 1 Kg and 5 Kg for pilot batches, to 25 Kg and 50 Kg for production. Everything is made to order, so a trial and a production run come from the same listing. Dispatch is within 7 working days.
Do you manufacture these oils? +
Herbuno is an ingredient supplier and exporter. Material is sourced from qualified manufacturing partners in India and supplied with a per-lot CoA stating the botanical, the plant part and the carrier oil used.
