About This Extract

Ipecacuanha Oil-Soluble Extract is prepared from Carapichea ipecacuanha root; its naturally occurring constituents include emetine, cephaeline and psychotrine. Emetine is acutely toxic and cardiotoxic, and ipecacuanha is a prescription-restricted or withdrawn pharmaceutical substance in most markets. Used in qualified pharmaceutical handling only. Restricted use — for licensed manufacturers and qualified practitioners only. Confirm permitted status before ordering. Available from 500 g with no minimum order quantity.
