About This Ingredient

Zeaxanthin 5% CWS Water-Dispersible Beadlets supply marigold zeaxanthin as a formulated beadlet assaying not less than 5.0% (trans + meso) zeaxanthin by HPLC. The assay basis governs any comparison: trans-zeaxanthin and meso-zeaxanthin are distinct stereoisomers, and a combined figure is not comparable with a trans-only figure at the same percentage. The beadlets disperse in cold water — 1 g into 30 ml with slow stirring, particles dispersing without settling at the bottom. Zeaxanthin itself is a xanthophyll carotenoid and is lipophilic, so that behaviour belongs to the formulated beadlet rather than to the carotenoid. Suits beverage premixes, gummies, RTM sticks, capsules and tablets. Minimum order quantity 10 kg.
