About This Compound

Alpha-Lipoic Acid is an organosulphur compound supplied to a ≥98% specification. Used in metabolic, nerve-health and antioxidant supplement formulation at 100–600 mg per dose, and in cosmetic actives. Supplied as the racemic R/S mixture unless an R-isomer grade is specified — the two differ materially in cost and are not interchangeable. Light-sensitive and prone to polymerisation with heat; store cool. Available from 100 g with no minimum order quantity.
