About This Extract

Ashoka Bark Oil-Soluble Extract supplies catechin, epicatechin and beta-sitosterol from Saraca asoca bark. Saraca asoca and Saraca indica are the same tree under two names, but Polyalthia longifolia — false ashoka — is a different species substituted for it throughout the trade. Used in women's-health Ayurvedic topicals and astringent formulations. Require identity testing against Polyalthia. Available from 500 g with no minimum order quantity.
