About This Extract

Banyan Root Extract Powder concentrates condensed tannins with quercetin-family flavonoids from Ficus benghalensis aerial root. Aerial root is the part specified in classical preparations, and it carries a heavier tannin load than bark or leaf. Found in Ayurvedic preparations, oral-care formulations and traditional blends. Confirm aerial root on the CoA; bark is the cheaper substitute. Available from 250 g with no minimum order quantity.

Product QnA

Q:How does banyanroot extractdiffer from leaf or fruit builds when I want a simple daily ritual?

A:Leaves taste greener and can read more bitter; fruit is rounder and pectin-leaning. For pre-meal capsules or teas, root gives a tidy cue that pairs well with ginger, fennel or light vanilla. In sticks and gummies, keep inclusion modest, add powder after liquid, whisk 20–30 seconds and allow a short settle. Lock pH and mix steps for two weeks before changing a single variable so results repeat cleanly at scale.

Claim strength:High

Claim-strength scale – High = strong handling/industry consensus; Moderate = a few trials; Emerging = early or context-specific.

Q:The astringency is noticeable—how do I keep flavour pleasant without heavy sweeteners?

A:Trim grams first (reduce by ~) before layering flavours. Then brighten with citrus peel, add a touch of ginger or a light vanilla round. Pre-wet the powder, add post-liquid, whisk 20–30 seconds and give a brief settle; avoid long high-heat holds that can flatten top notes. Use opaque/UV-safe packaging for sticks and gummies to protect colour and aroma. Change only one variable at a time so QA can confirm improvements and your water-activity and headspace targets remain on track through scale-up.

Claim strength:High

Q:Capsules vs beverages—how should I present serving math and keep labels tidy?

A:Document grams, pH, whisk/settle and pack type (stick vs jar) so the consumer experience matches your pilot. Introduce any partner botanical only after two steady weeks; this preserves adherence and helps procurement/QC hold sieve cut, moisture and fill weights consistent across runs while you judge whether the change truly adds value.

Claim strength:High

Q:Any positioning or caution notes to stay well within structure/function language?

A:Lead with routine and sensory: a gentle bitter-astringent root to support composed mealtime habits and everyday antioxidant support within a varied diet. Avoid disease or cure/prevent language; keep inclusion math transparent; include standard cautions (modest servings; consult a professional if pregnant, nursing or on medications); and retain your PDP disclaimer. This keeps claims conservative and your label clean while giving users a clear, repeatable ritual in capsules, teas, sticks or gummies.

Claim strength:Moderate
