About This Extract

Betel Leaf Extract Powder provides hydroxychavicol, eugenol and chavibetol from Piper betle leaf. Betel leaf is Piper betle and is unrelated to areca nut, which is the material carrying the regulatory burden — the two travel together in trade and are constantly confused. Commonly selected for oral-care formulations, Ayurvedic preparations and traditional blends. Hydroxychavicol is the marker; specify it rather than total phenolics. Available from 250 g with no minimum order quantity.

Product QnA

Q:How is Betelleafextract different from paan/chewing traditions that include areca or tobacco?

A:This SKU is a food-grade extract of the leaf only—no areca nut, no tobacco, and no chewing quid. That makes it an aromatic, green-spice botanical for compact milligram servings in capsules, teas, sticks and gummies. It’s positioned for flavour-led after-meal routines and daily freshness habits using structure/function language, not for drug-style claims. Keep the label clear: “Leaf extract; no areca or tobacco,” and hold serving, pH and whisk/settle steps steady for two weeks so your benchtop sensory profile repeats at scale.

Claim strength:High

Claim-strength scale – High = strong handling/industry consensus; Moderate = a few trials; Emerging = early or context-specific.

Q:What colour and aroma should buyers expect from betel extract?

A:Typical lots are pale green to green-brown, with a clean clove-mint-pepper nuance. Extracts rarely show vivid juice green; hue and top notes vary by crop and drying. Set spec/COA expectations accordingly, use opaque, low-permeability packs, and avoid long high-heat holds that mute volatiles. If a cup reads too “spicy,” trim inclusion by ~ before altering flavours. Recording grams, pH and whisk/settle makes improvements easy for QA to confirm.

Claim strength:High

Q:What flavour partners keep the green-spice note pleasant without heavy sweeteners?

A:Fennel, mint, mild cardamom and a light citrus/vanilla round. Pre-wet powder, add post-liquid, whisk 20–30 seconds and allow a short settle; minimize headspace oxygen in sticks to preserve aroma. Change one variable at a time—grams first, then partner, then pH—so you can tell what truly improves the cup while keeping label length tight and packaging stable.

Claim strength:High

Q:How should I present serving math across formats while staying within structure/function language?

A:Frame benefits around routine (oral freshness, gentle bitters, antioxidant support) and include your standard cautions. This keeps labels conservative while giving users a clear, repeatable ritual across capsules, teas, sticks and gummies.

Claim strength:Moderate
