About This Extract

Black Cardamom Extract Powder presents 1,8-cineole and terpinyl acetate with volatile oil constituents from Amomum subulatum fruit pod. Black cardamom is smoke-dried, which gives it a phenolic, campfire character green cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum) does not have — they are not interchangeable in flavour work. Used in seasoning premixes, Ayurvedic churna blends and flavour applications. Volatiles are low in a dried extract; specify if aroma is the purpose. Available from 250 g with no minimum order quantity.
