    About This Oleoresin

    Cardamom Oleoresin is a full-spectrum, solvent-extracted oleoresin of Elettaria cardamomum fruit (seed), supplied as a yellow to dark brown liquid. Green cardamom is the dried capsule of a Zingiberaceae plant of the Western Ghats; its sweet, cooling aroma rests on the balance of 1,8-cineole and α-terpinyl acetate, and it is among the most valuable spices by weight. Solvent extraction followed by solvent recovery concentrates the volatile oil and the non-volatile flavour fraction into a dose-efficient liquid that replaces ground cardamom in processing. Naturally occurring constituents include 1,8-cineole and α-terpinyl acetate. It is used in tea and beverages, desserts, confectionery, bakery and mouth fresheners.
