Diluted facial blend: Coconut Oil is a rich, heavy oil — use at 5–20% in facial blends rather than neat. Pair with lightweight carriers (jojoba, grapeseed) for a balanced skin feel.

Body & massage oil: Suitable at 20–50% in body and massage oils — the richness provides excellent slip and extended glide time.

Hair mask & deep conditioning: Use Coconut Oil at 20–50% in intensive hair mask formulations. Apply pre-shampoo for deep conditioning without buildup.

Anhydrous balm / salve: Incorporate Coconut Oil at 15–40% in balms and salves alongside waxes and butters. Provides excellent emolliency and film-forming properties.

Emulsion oil phase: Add Coconut Oil to the oil phase of cream formulations at 3–10% for rich moisturising effect without over-weighting the emulsion.

Botanical source: Cocos nucifera

Plant part: Fruit (endosperm / meat)

Extraction: Cold-pressed

Origin & sourcing: Coconut Oil is pressed in India from locally cultivated or wild-harvested plant material. Herbuno sources from verified pressing facilities with traceability documentation.

Traditional use context: Cold-pressed Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is one of the most versatile carrier oils — high lauric acid content gives strong antimicrobial properties and excellent lathering in soap. Comedogenic rating is moderate (4/5) — use

Formulator note: Per-lot GC-MS fatty acid profile and CoA available on request — essential for formulations with specific fatty acid label claims.
