About This Extract

Devdar Oil-Soluble Extract is prepared from Cedrus deodara heartwood; its naturally occurring constituents include himachalol, alpha-himachalene and atlantones. The himachalenes are the sesquiterpenes Himalayan cedar is graded on, and they sit in the heartwood. Used in natural perfumery as a woody cedar note and in Ayurvedic massage oils. Cedrus deodara is the cedar of the western Himalaya, and its resinous heartwood is the traditional source of cedarwood character in Indian aromatic materials. Supplied dispersed in the base oil selected at checkout, it goes straight into the oil phase of taila, balms, anhydrous serums and massage bases. Available from 500 g with no minimum order quantity.
