    About This Oleoresin

    Fenugreek Oleoresin is a full-spectrum, solvent-extracted oleoresin of Trigonella foenum-graecum seed, supplied as an amber to reddish-brown liquid. Fenugreek is a legume whose hard, angular seed carries sotolon, the lactone responsible for its maple- and caramel-like aroma at very low concentration. Fenugreek oleoresin is used where the seed's maple-caramel note is wanted without the bitterness and texture of ground seed. Solvent extraction followed by solvent recovery concentrates the volatile oil and the non-volatile flavour fraction into a dose-efficient liquid that replaces ground fenugreek in processing. Naturally occurring constituents include sotolon with the seed lipid and sterol fraction. It is used in curry blends, savoury seasonings, maple and caramel flavour systems, and hair-care formulations.
