About This Oil

Jojoba Oil (INCI Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil) is technically a liquid wax ester rather than a triglyceride — the only common carrier of that class. Dominated by gadoleic acid at 65–75%, it resists oxidation far longer than triglyceride oils and closely resembles human sebum in structure. Universally compatible with other carriers and essential oils. Used across all skin and hair types, premium facial serums, scalp treatments, beard oils and cuticle care. Available from 500 g with no minimum order quantity.

Universal carrier / blending base: Jojoba Oil is the most versatile formulation carrier — use at 10–100% in virtually any oil-based formulation. Compatible with all other carriers and essential oils.

Facial serum (all skin types): Use Jojoba Oil at 50–100% as a standalone facial treatment. Sebum-identical structure makes it suitable even for acne-prone and oily skin.

Aromatherapy & massage: Preferred carrier for aromatherapy — odourless, stable, and does not compete with essential oil fragrance. Use at 95–98% with 2–5% essential oils.

Shelf-life extender: Blend Jojoba Oil at 10–20% into PUFA-rich oils (rosehip, sea buckthorn, chia) to extend their shelf life through oxidative dilution.

Hair & beard care: Apply Jojoba Oil neat to hair and beard — lightweight, non-greasy, regulates sebum production on scalp without buildup.

Botanical source: Simmondsia chinensis

Plant part: Seed

Extraction: Cold-pressed

Origin & sourcing: Jojoba Oil is pressed in India from locally cultivated or wild-harvested plant material. Herbuno sources from verified pressing facilities with traceability documentation.

Traditional use context: Jojoba Oil is technically a liquid wax ester — not a true triglyceride oil. This gives it two unique properties: (1) structure almost identical to human sebum, making it instantly recognised and absorbed by skin; (2) exc
