Formulator Notes

Primary applications: Anti-fungal topicals, scalp treatments for dandruff and psoriasis, Ayurvedic skin formulations, biopesticide concentrates, anti-acne products

Blends well with: Coconut oil, sesame oil, karanj oil, tea tree (diluted) — always dilute to 2–10%

Formulator note: Neem Oil is one of the most bioactive carrier oils — azadirachtin and nimbidin give potent antifungal, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory activity. Very strong characteristic odour — masking with aromatic essential oils (eucalyptus, lavender, peppermint) is essential in finished products. Use at 2–10% in cosmetic blends; higher concentrations for biopesticide applications. Dark colour will affect formulation appearance — plan accordingly. Keep cosmetic and biopesticide grades clearly segregated.
