    About This Oleoresin

    Paprika Oleoresin 100,000 CU is a full-spectrum, solvent-extracted oleoresin of Capsicum annuum fruit, supplied as a dark red viscous liquid. Paprika oleoresin is the colour extract of mild red pepper; its deep red comes from the carotenoids capsanthin and capsorubin, and it is traded on colour value rather than heat. Solvent extraction followed by solvent recovery concentrates the carotenoid colour fraction into a dose-efficient liquid that replaces ground paprika in processing. Naturally occurring constituents include capsanthin and capsorubin with β-carotene. It is used as a red-orange colour in meat products, sausages, snacks, sauces, soups and seasonings.
