    About This Oleoresin

    Turmeric Oleoresin is a full-spectrum, solvent-extracted oleoresin of Curcuma longa rhizome, supplied as a yellow to reddish-brown viscous liquid. Turmeric oleoresin carries the yellow curcuminoids that colour the rhizome together with the turmerone-rich volatile oil, so it delivers both colour and the earthy turmeric flavour. Solvent extraction followed by solvent recovery concentrates the curcuminoid colour fraction and the turmerone-rich volatile oil into a dose-efficient liquid that replaces ground turmeric in processing. Naturally occurring constituents include curcuminoids (curcumin, demethoxycurcumin, bisdemethoxycurcumin) and ar-turmerone. It is used as a yellow colour and earthy flavour in curry powders, sauces, pickles, snacks, dairy and bakery.
