    About This Ingredient

    Zeaxanthin 5% CWS Water-Dispersible Beadlets supply marigold zeaxanthin as a formulated beadlet assaying not less than 5.0% (trans + meso) zeaxanthin by HPLC. The assay basis governs any comparison: trans-zeaxanthin and meso-zeaxanthin are distinct stereoisomers, and a combined figure is not comparable with a trans-only figure at the same percentage. Dispersibility is a stated entry on the manufacturer's finished-product specification — "should be dispersible" — determined by a documented in-house method that takes a 1 g sample into 30 ml of water with slow stirring, accepted when all particles disperse and the sample does not settle at the bottom. That establishes dispersion, not solubility; zeaxanthin is a xanthophyll carotenoid and does not dissolve molecularly in water. The CWS designation is the manufacturer's own product terminology. Suits beverage premixes, gummies, RTM sticks, capsules and tablets. Minimum order quantity 10 kg.
